Our meditation guru, Maya Beck, has another installment for being mindful. She is all about emotions this week. Pull up a comfy spot on the floor, burn a fabulous candle, and turn off your phone for 15 minutes.
Talk about really tapping into your feelings! THIS meditation is the BOMB. Enjoy!
Cherokee Story:
An old Cherokee Indian was telling her granddaughter about a fight that was going on inside herself. She said it was between two wolves. “One is evil,” she recounted. “Anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.”
“The other is good. Joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.”
The granddaughter thought about this for a minute, then asked her grandmother, “Which wolf wins?”
The old Cherokee simply replied, ‘The one I feed.’”
