Safe In Harm’s Way is answering the question, “Who do I call for help with domestic violence?” It’s important to also know one other thing.

Please don’t give up if you call and no one answers. According to the Hotline, which runs this number with highly trained volunteers, the need is overwhelming. Their latest data states that 40% of their calls go unanswered.

Please keep trying back as often as you are able. You are worth the effort!

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER SEARCH TOOL

One of the most commonly used features of DomesticShelters.org is our search tool that allows anyone in the U.S./Canada to find nearby domestic violence programs and shelters. People are using this tool at this moment and millions of people have used it since 2014 to find someone locally to speak with, to find shelter, and to find a more positive future. We hope it’s reassuring to know that you’re not alone and that we can help you find help.

How to Use the Search Tool

To use the search tool, just enter your zip/postal code in the pink bar above and press enter or click the green SEARCH SHELTERS button. If you only want to see listings that offer a 24/7 hotline and/or emergency shelter, check the related boxes (along with your zip/postal code) and click the green button.
